Frommer's Washington, D.C. 

Here is an excellent all-purpose guide to the nation's capital. Frommer's Washington 2005 offers well-organized information on sightseeing, dining, nightlife, and shopping. Many clear and concise color maps are scattered throughout the text, illustrating specific neighborhoods or themes. A fold-out/tear-out, full-color map is bound into the book itself.
